BJP won in Chhattisgarh, which the Congress governed well, because of a hate campaign centred against a tiny minority among the Adivasi population in the state which is Christian. The average Hindu, who doesn't care about the impoverishment and discrimination experienced by Adivasis, DID become alarmed seeing them adopt a religion which doesn't see them as subhumans, and for that reason, ended up voting BJP! This is what pajeets mean when they say they vote for BJP because of "good gobarnance"!
