Bill That Offended Vietnamese Government Passed By Senate

gambit bro, there are encouraging signs in recent years, our country Vietnam economy is going in right direction. I'm optimistic. You are right in one point: the economic policy after the vietnam war was a disaster. So the policy in handling with Cambodia.

After how many decades of going in the wrong direction ?

But given that the country made a major economic U-turn after an embarrassing experiment with Marxist style economics, if ever that is possible, of course there should be optimism.

Although respect have many forms, there are some forms of respect that is more desirable than others. China is respected externally and even envied in some measure because the Chinese government made efforts to make ordinary Chinese lives better. Then the Chinese government is respected internally because ordinary Chinese began to see how much their lives got better.

Better late than never, as the saying goes.

But even if the Vietnamese government saw the (economic) light and began the U-turn, we should never let the people forget how the communists misled the people, brutality in enforcement of a failed ideology, and general dickheadedness. We Viet-Kieus knows better. We have been to and some actually lived in both worlds. We should not let these brainwashed fools off the hook, here on the Internet or physically back in Viet Nam. Even passivity WILL be taken as tacit approval for what happened after 1975.

wie hoch ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Schneesturms in Saigon? ein tropisches Paradise in Muenchen? ja, genau. Nahe Null. So hoch ist die Wahrscheinlich einer Revolution in Vietnam.

but I can understand your wet dream

Was hat das Klima mit einer Revolution zu tun?

Sorry, I don't dream of others misery.

Very well said and I'd like to add that much of that so called economic progress is mainly because of the work of foreign companies in Vietnam even that they have to work in an environment plagued by red tape, inefficient and complicated rules, corruption, etc.

Vietnam exports in 2014 are 150 billion usd of which 101 billion is from foreign companies, I think that says everything.

The present government has been moving in the right direction in the economic front in the last couple of years, but lets not forget that this is the same government that screwed the economy just 4-5 years ago by letting the state owned companies engaged in an UNCONTROLLED and UNSUPERVISED flood of real state investments that caused a real state bubble and banking crisis, etc. State owned companies owe $61 billion which is not surprising since they are run by mainly corrupted bureaucrats.

These people have a great capability to mismanage the economy or to back pedal in their policies, so you never know how long until the next time that they screw things up.

Marx was wrong. And Viet Nam was a communist country, which made it a failed country.

No...We just hate what communism have done. What did you 'won' ? Land ? And what did you do with the land and the people that lived there ? After 1975, you engaged in a campaign of mass terror that ended with more Vietnamese killed in that time than from the war. Essentially, you created another war after the Vietnam War. Later, you practically begged for help from the outside world when the Soviets could not support you any more. Is that what you called 'winning' ? We call that 'brainwashed'.

I agree with you that communism set Vietnam back by decades. Had there been no communism in Vietnam in the first place, or had the south won, Vietnam will have been in a way more better position and much more advanced than today.

.
Why Marx said that the communist revolt. would happen in UK ?? not in Russia-China ??

Ho CHi Minh dismissed communist party in 1946 and hope US would support the independence of VN , but US continued to support French colony to invade VN again.

ist ein Versuch eines Vergleichs. What you thought of has nothing to do with the reality. Vietnam is far from a revolution, unless certain country called China wants to start war?

That's why you guys were not the true communists from the beginning, but a bunch of turncoats.

All those fake communist countries will fall, and only the real communist country will survive at the end.

The Turncoats is China shaking hand wt dirty US capitalist to harm VN-Soviet in 1979:coffee:
