they need to investigate the Indian side and who is receiving and how much are the kick backs.

get ur head out of ur a$$
The price being quoted to US congress was 5.8 Billion at max , while for specification being requested by India , IT WAS 4.1 Billion USD , now problem arose when US sold 1 C17 Aircraft to Australia for 300 Million USD , this has lead to price review being asked by Indian MOD
By the way if every thing was about Kickbacks then Indian DEFENCE deals would not take as much time as they take today
Also FMS route involve US Government and involve signature of US President , then are u saying that US is sponsering corruption
I think it only came to their attention recently that the price being offered to them is higher than other nations which may have gotten the same plane and equipment for friendship prices. India should demand so also. If the US wants India to be a friend and ally, it should start offering better prices. It gives all types of breaks to brutal regimes and fake democracies, but when it comes to a country like India which is really trying to overcome a lot of difficulties it gets treated like . Nuke deal or whatever, this is BS. The F-18's offered are crap but then they pressure saying it is long term interest...well then cut some slack. Facking BS
Don;t forget when China was going to buy the Phalcons before sanctions, It was quoted for a far, far lower price. What' going on...corruption, or so called allies taking advantage of country that is not white? Then th West complain and moans of human rights.....not enough food....blah blah...It is time for India to seriously invest in it domestic industry.....its something that foreign powers don;t want coz it will be a huge loss to their military weapons industries. We finally have a capable minister of defense with AK Anthony.....his position is known in the political circle as the highest paying job in Indian gov't because you make so much thru corruption. Im sure the other Defence ministers were rotten to the apple.....otherwise India's procurement would not be so dismal. For example, our lack of nigh vision on tanks....the list can go on forever. This gov't though it has some hiccups is quite transparent....
Now I really feel that IAF should go for Gripen - Simple, cheap and brilliant.

Even i too agree... enough is enough... go for 250+ Gripen NG with participation from HAL, TATA and SaaB.
Production should be divided between the 2 Indian companies and be made faster.
Also encourage TATA on 5th Gen partnership with SaaB and market it and if its better than AMCA , buy it too..
And who will finance it ?? I think it will be better that both compete but these are long process, i don't think in any way we will be able to make AMCA in such short time, its just too less time even for US.Also encourage TATA on 5th Gen partnership with SaaB and market it and if its better than AMCA , buy it too..
