Biggest consignment of Federal Relief Commission arrives
ISLAMABAD, Oct. 27 (APP): The largest consignment of Federal Relief Commission to supplement relief supplies for earthquake affectees arrived here at Chaklala Air base from China on Thursday.
A chartered cargo aircraft of PIA carrying 110 tonnes of 3203 tents landed at the air base .
Similarly, two chartered cargo aircrafts carrying 230 tonnes heavy machinery and a truck from Russia landed Wednesday night to assist relief work in quake-affected areas.
A Kuwaiti Air Force C-130 carrying 133 tents also arrived at the Air base on Thursday.
Similarly, according to ISPR sources, the supplies are being rushed to earthquake victims in the NWFP and Azad Kashmir.
