Beyond PDF: Proposals

The target shroud be to get the new forum running as quickly as possible so that there's enough time to divert traffic from here to there before this place shuts down. Once PDF is offline it will be hard to get new members.

Not really, but I like your optimism (or dread) about my retirement ending.

Seriously though, I do not want to see PDF die like this, and will do everything I can to ensure a better successor.

Watching PDF dying like this was indeed sad, and we don't know why its happening, was it due to Army criticism or sensitive nature of information that was posted here, unless we know the full picture it will be hard to no repeat that same thing.

Speaking on behalf of the much abused American community on pdf. I will not contribute my time unless we have an American in the leadership group.

I have requested @waz to prepare a plan. Then we can gather a team just like we did on PDF for years... work together, share ideas, and make each other stronger. We will make collective decisions and lead this forum in the right direction.

Willing to contribute financially as much I am able to for your new initiative, just won’t be able to participate as regularly, I have been a regular/passive member of pdf since 2011 and complete passive guest since 2008. Let me know what I can do to pitch in as it is the only relevant and comphrensive data base for all things pakistan defence and pakistan in general. Just fighting my inner demons right now lol so won’t be a super quantitative member , will try my best to be a qualitative enough though. Let me know if a $100 CAD works a month. It might not be much in comparison to my esteemed colleagues but I will try my utmost to do my bit.

Results can be changed if you understand the root cause of the problem, but if the problem itself is a fundamental human right " Free Speech " than this curse will follow even the new moderator down to their graves, that's why the new forum must be hosted by someone who is in US/UK with no family ties to Pakistan, (that is assuming that reason for forum closure is something to do with Army's criticism).

I'd rather not assume, until some verified or verifiable information is forthcoming from those who have knowledge of what has led to the current situation. Sunlight is a great disinfectant, I hear, but mold and mildew and fungi and other undesirables thrive in the shadows. That is up to them, however.

Well TBH I don't know what causes the investigations to start in the first place, plus my assumptions means nothing. I would wait to hear something official from PDF mod(s). But one thing for sure the new forum has to be different.

Well TBH I don't know what causes the investigations to start in the first place, plus my assumptions means nothing. I would wait to hear something official from PDF mod(s). But one thing for sure the new forum has to be different.

The old PDF was controlled to be a useful tool to promote PTI when needed, and the same people are now creating its death so that the reincarnation can be reborn without the old PTI baggage to promote the next useful agenda, and with the same aazmooda tajarbakar team to control the bloody civilian masses for the next episode.

Typing from mobile so it will be a short message. Good to have spoken to you in private message as I was able to verify your real identity (we both know each other since 2010-ish).

I am not looking for financial assistance and will happily refuse if it was my decision however whatever decision will be taken, it will be the collective decision of the team so wait for a few days until everything becomes clear and I am aware of the team. Starting a forum takes 5 minutes and could be done with the blink of an eye but a proper forum will be setup and will be done with consultations of the team.

Also somebody mentioned about ads/monitisation. Come on guys the website isn’t here and you are taking about ads. We need the community as a one unit, not the money.

I am waiting for Waz for guidance so that next step can be taken.

There are many unanswered questions so far but soon we will be able to solve these questions for long term. For example

Who will be joining management in the first phase, the cost sharing formula, the joint ownership formula, what to do when stakeholders are not active anymore formula etc

Let me know whatever decision the seniors make and I will happily comply with my original offer sir. Dua karain ke I can do even more haha. Btw I do not recall our messages from the 2010ish. I was a bloody kid then haha, not that i am much older now ( at least that what I like to think)
