Anyway,I'm in Beijing now,never been to Xi'an,in Beijing,the oldest and largest mosque is Niujie mosque,founded in 996 AD,but in Xi'an,you have Great mosque of Xi'an built in 742 AD,one of the oldest in China,and in that time,Xi'an is still the capital of Imperial China.
The spread of Islam in China is because peaceful contact between China and Islamic world,not because of war and conquest,all those mosques were protected by the old imperial government,and some of those mosques were even built because of the emperors' orders

It did not mention, but had drawing of beard men, which we all know is a stereo type for muslim. Like the West use squinky eyes images or "ching chong ching cha" sound to stereo type Asian, mostly Chinese. I think the designer must have targeted muslims with his images, and Chinese officials were ok with that. You know that may sound like Chinese govts support discriminating muslims to many people.

Just note one thing. If you read western , Japanese and Vietnamese news about China, I urge you to actually read the news and not just the sensationalize headline and you will say, "WTF?" Why is the content different than the headline!
A recent example is "China Finally Withdraws Rig from Paracels Island: Vietnam Victory" . After clicking on the link and read the article, the content had nothing to do with the title! The content said, China is withdrawing its rig due to the typhoon (which is bullshit also) but no where close to the headlines.
