I disagree.

The "charity" being given has a political angle and doesn't help the recipients in any sustainable way. It is even against the West's own models of sustainable development.

Aid orgs have long been used to peddle political and geostrategic interests by Western donors.

Does the aid help nobody? Of course not --- people are still helped.
Can it be deployed a billion times more effectively and sustainably? Yes!

We can agree to disagree.

Trust me, I totally get what you're saying and where you're coming from.

But I just mean: relative to the sustainable potential of this aid, it's essentially being wasted on a cash-for-votes handout scheme.

If the US Navy uses its budget to buy a lot of outdated jets, I'm sure you'd consider it wasteful VS. more appropriate and urgent spending; even though any additional jet does "help" the quantity of jets in inventory, it makes no sense to buy them. It's not the kind of "help" one supports or lauds.

I believe it is Government of Pakistan which sponsors the funding , PPP just uses their own politician names to project an image that the money is coming from their Baap Dadda bank account

I personally feel any Government Funded Program should be attributed to the Government of Pakistan

It is not a private donation that you can name after your mama or papa Bhutto
It should be simply called

• Pakistan's Lower-Income Support Program

This is important so people would know , where Government of Pakistan , spends Tax Money
