It is reported that on December 27, 2018, the Beidou No. 3 basic system was completed and the global service conference was held in the press conference hall of the State Council Information Office. At the conference, the director of the China Satellite Navigation System Management Office and the Beidou satellite navigation system spokesperson Qi Chengqi announced that the basic system of the Beidou No. 3 was completed and began to provide global services on the same day.

The China Satellite Navigation System Management Office stated that by 2020, it will launch 11 Beidou No.3 and one Beidou-2 satellite to complete the comprehensive construction and further improve the system service performance. In 2035, the Beidou will be built as the core and more ubiquitous. A more integrated and intelligent integrated positioning and navigation time (PNT) system.

China’s Beidou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) is known for its advanced navigation technology, but news recently broke that the system is also useful when it comes to herding sheep.

China completed the constellation deployment of its BDS after the successful launch of its 42nd and 43rd Beidou-3 satellites via Long March-3B carrier on Nov. 19, 2018, expanding coverage of the navigation system to the whole world.

Taking this opportunity, local government in China’s Inner Mongolia, together with a livestock-rearing technology company installed a smart surveillance system for 30 herdsmen, putting tracking collars on their sheep.

“The herd positions will be transmitted by the BDS system to relay stations through a wireless network, and then forwarded to an information center. The herdsmen can then check the position through their BDS handsets," said chief of the livestock technology company.

“Previously, I had to herd sheep by foot, horse or motorcycle, covering a huge expanse of grassland,” said a herdsman, adding that he often spent several days searching for lost sheep. Now, the BDS enables him to herd his sheep while sitting at home drinking tea.

The surveillance system monitors every single sheep. The company explained that when a sheep gets close to a smart well, which is powered by the Internet of Things, it will be recorded, and the information will be sent straight to the herdsman.

When the mutton finally hits the shelves, it comes with a QR code, through which the buyers can track the movements of the sheep, including what it ate and drank. Such transparent information about food is gaining massive popularity in megacities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Westerners, especially Americans and Australians, and Canadians will definitely say: Chinese people don’t consider the interests of sheep at all, The Chinese are abusing various animals, and Chinese people eat dog meat (0.01% of Chinese people may eat dog meat, But Westerners beleive that among 1.4 billion Chinese and 1.35 billion people eat dog meat).
At that time, when Westerners added their own cows with various scientific equipment, it became a way for cows to serve human civilization . The use of cows to produce milk is God's arrangement and is the power of mankind.
hahahahahah.
