The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) agreed on the upcoming the tour of Pakistan, to be held in three phases – the second and third phase depending on security clearance for that time -- during a meeting between the two board high-ups, with ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar as the mediator at the sidelines of a meeting of the ICC in Dubai today.

According to the agreement, Bangladesh will play three T20Is in Lahore from January 24 to 27. The first of the two Tests will take place in Rawalpindi from February 7 to 11 while Bangladesh team will go to Pakistan for a third time in April, for the second Test as well as one ODI. The second Test will take place in Karachi from April 5 to 9 after the one-off ODI on April 3 in the same city.

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s media committee chairman Jalal Younus confirmed the schedule to The Daily Star this evening.

“Yes, both parties agreed to the three-phase tour,” Younus said.

tht would fare negatively in terms of finances on both BG and Pak, the strategy doesnt also seem to make any bit of sense.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday reiterated that they want the home series against Bangladesh to be played on Pakistan's home ground after conducting the two scheduled Test matches against Sri Lanka in December.

“We stand by our policy of not playing any home series fixtures abroad,” a PCB spokesperson told Geo News.

“Initial plans regarding Bangladesh’s upcoming tour have been sent to them (Bangladesh management). Venues and dates are yet to be finalised,” said the PCB representative.

The two Test matches are scheduled to be played in the first-phase of the series, while three T20I fixtures are set to be held in the second phase.

Pakistan will host Bangladesh men's cricket team between January to February in 2020.

The Bangladesh women and Under-16 team recently toured in Pakistan hosted.

The women played a series of ODI and T20I matches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore while the youngsters played the series in Rawalpindi.

Prior to the teams' visit, a security delegation from Bangladesh Cricket Board visited Pakistan and went through the security plans of all the three series.

"It is not possible that one half of the series is played in one place, and the other half in another. It's not even possible to think about that anymore, because if that happens, then PSL and any future series to be played in Pakistan will be negatively affected," said a source within the PCB.

“PCB feels that there should be no issue for the men’s team to visit now as two teams from the country (Bangladesh) have already been hosted by us,” the source added.

PSL’s fifth edition will be played completely in Pakistan. Players from different countries such as Australia, England, West Indies, Ireland, Afghanistan and South Africa have also been invited to play in Pakistan.

“Our plans may backfire if in such a situation we play the home-series abroad,” the source said.

The two Test matches set to be played against Bangladesh are part of International Cricket Council's World Test championship. If they refuse to play, their points will be deducted.

BCB made this tour a joke after Sri Lanka they had no valid excuse.
The Only Reason i can see is Rights for Asia Cup.
India will never travel to Pakistan in near future.
UAE is dead pitches & Pakistan wont travel to India.
Dont see every one going to Afghanistan.
Only 2 viable options left 1 Bangladesh & Sri Lanka.
Did PCB gave away Asia Cup for this series only time will tell.

So two days earlier, BD had security concerns and now they are ready to come more than once.

Woah, its amazing how Pakistani security agencies have improved security situation in Pakistan that BD dont have any concern anymore ( unless they werent ready to come due to unseen pressure ).

security concerns ? if have three live rounds i will better use them on marriage firing rather then wasting on them on a bengali

There is Pakistan Super League during the period after the first and second test. That's why there is such a big gap.

I could be wrong but I have a feeling this is a statement from BD to India, after all the drama lately. If that is really the case, then it is indeed a good news.

As we all know there's more than security concern at play. Bangladesh and India are falling out diplomatically over CAA/NRC and general Anti-Muslim hostility in India. A number of ministerial visits to India have been dropped by Bangladesh in the last month. Whatever Bangladesh feared of Indian disapproval or retaliation after engagement with Pakistan is less of a concern now. I expect Bangladesh and Pakistan relations to mend over time, if only slowly.

This change indicate that govt is changing stance towards Pakistan. Just indirectly. In fact people will no longer buy anti Pakistani agenda of AL govt since so called pro Pakistani political parties are dead.
Everything in Bangladesh is categorised politically, it's a major problem here.

Below is what I found on random internet surfing. So, may I ask which country would show interest to visit your country after what happened to the SL team in 2009? BD will visit and I hope with no such incidents to happen with our team.

The other eastern/western teams will re-consider visiting Lahore in the future in such a case. So, please ask your govt to do its best for security. Ask the cricketers to visit Swat, they will instantly fall in love with Pakistan.

"The 2009 attack on the Sri Lanka national cricket team occurred on 3 March 2009, when a bus carrying Sri Lankan cricketers, part of a larger convoy, was fired upon by 12 gunmen near Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan".
