Google Scholar = very important for education, no peer in the world.

Google Maps = great for transportation (e.g. Uber), solved many headaches.

Googe Search = great for numerous activities on the web.

Every country should think about what is best for its public.

What works for your country, will not necessarily work for others.

Pakistan is a very different environment from China, and people here are into convenience, and user-friendly services are a big relief to many. Alternative is exploitation at the hands of others. Google have made our lives very easy in different ways.
