Concept of sex with the slaves came mainly because the sex slaves also has urge for sex. If her owner does not meet that requirement who will do it? It is not to jump on a slave and sex with him. During the time of Caliph Omar one muslim soldier was put to death for having sex with a newly married wife who married a soldier of defeated army if I am not mistaken.
Lastly Quran said time after time to free slaves. Even if someone is slaves and gives birth to a child she will be freed. Quran said biggest rewards for anyone when he frees slaves. Encouraged to use zakat money to free slaves. If someone wants money in that case it is asked to let the slave work and pay to end his/her slavery. Islam abolished buying and selling of slaves at market. Only the thing that was not banned was to obtain slaves as war booty as those woman children would be defenseless. But it is not mandatory to have slaves like this based on quran.
Why do you have so many excuses for the barbaric traditions included in the religion? Stop talking about your love for the old-time Arab culture, traditions, and customs as the
ABSOLUTE part of a religion. Yes, this is how the Arabic Islam allowed collecting booties in other people's women, slave, and gold after killing the men. I ask should still these customs remain in the religion. No wonder, ISIS, Taliban or Boka Haram groups are born out of barbaric Islamic formula.
