Bit odd for France to advocate for insulting the world's 2nd largest religion (which is known to be quite militant) and then complaining when there is a backlash. You can try to suppress one, but it is foolish to expect the outcome to differ from the norm.

It's also very ironic for France to complain about the suppression of freedom of speech when French nationalists are now screaming "death to the enemies of the republic" just because certain people (within France, mind you) have differing views to them.

What's more, France's horrific actions in Africa that still persist ought not be ignored as providing additional motivation for such attacks.

This week a lawyer in northern India offended hindus with a caricature mocking and insulting hindu gods. We are not calling for her summary execution. Police has registered a case of causing religious offense. And it will be fought in the courts as she is sticking by her position. And she is not under arrest.
Why expect the French PM to support murder of their citizen and not support free speech which they hold very dear ?

That is correct, but the French actions certainly deserve criticism. France is behaving in a very unreasonable and bigoted manner.

It wants to ridicule and mock 1.5 billion Muslims, but it doesn't want to face any criticism for its actions.

I really admire the hypocrisy of Muslims around the world...they are lecturing West on civility, freedom of speech, tolerance etc... while none of it exists in Islamic countries nor can they tolerate it in their societies.....

Why blame Bangladesh when so called beacons and leaders of Islam such as Saudi Arabia and UAE haven't officially condemned France or called for any unified action against France. Even Iran is silent on the matter and so Shia majority countries are also silent.

It is as if the Muslim leaders don't give an ounce of importance to the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) respect and would rather consider trade with France and the EU than protect the dignity of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This possibly leads to even more radicalization of individuals as they are made powerless by their imposed leaders.

Erdogan is quite literally the only leader who stands fighting for Islam, Imran Khan's speeches in this regard are also very welcoming; atleast these 2 leaders are speaking openly about the issue on various forums.
