It's not about believing. It's the path this region has been following for a while, Muslim rule in Bengal allowed all faiths to live harmoniously with equal rights and that's why I brought up the Bengal Sultanate example, because numerous non Muslims became Munshis etc.

Nah mate! Originally, Munshis were Persians imported and deployed by various Sultanates for various administrative and high level teaching purpose.

With time it also became just another family title like others.

I am actually speaking for the rights and dignity of Bangladeshi and Rohingya women. I know many BD people would agree with me.

Your government is trying to impose a foreign culture on Bangladeshis. You have been Muslims for more than 700 years, starting from Pir Shah Jalal.

Islam is an integral part of your identity and you are basically good-natured, down to Earth people who have been co-opted by negative influences from your neighbors to let go of your faith.

I feel sad anytime I hear a Bangladeshi Muslim girl run off with a Hindu man or hear of the terrible stories how BD and Rohingya women are deceived by so-called "Muslims" into a life of slavery, pain, and dishonor.

Also, shame on the government which allows it to happen.

Sorry in Bangladesh Muslim girls do not elope with Hindu boys. Bangladesh is not like Pakistan where interfaith couple would be honour killed. Last time I checked, a Christian boy was beaten in Pakistan for talking to a Muslim girl. This doesn't happen in Bangladesh. But yes generally if non Muslims wants to marry Muslims in Bangladesh they have to convert to Islam, at least in most cases. But there are cases where marriages between Hindus and Muslims took place without conversions.

Also why Hindu boys only? As far as I know even Muslim boys cannot marry Hindu girls so you should against it too.
