The garments sector hires around 3.5 million workers. However the minimum wages for a month is around $43, below poverty line:frown:

Better then nothing and it keeps your price cheap and competitive, hence your able to be the 2nd best in the world.

Its better to work on a paddy field, steady food supply, earns you around the same amount of money and you are your own boss. Anyway I bet most of the money gets lost because of corruption thus the salary is low.

A minimum wage at entry level should be regarded as apprentice wage. A person has to know his trade or job before he/she is entitled to a better salary. Persons with experience get a much better salary, double or triple of $43/month or even much more than that. You better build your own factory and give all of them a $100 wage per month. You will see your factory closed because at your rate you will not get any orders. Your $100/month employees will lose jobs, and will remain hungry without getting any salaries at all.
