If the plan is followed, then BD will have a very capable military by 2030.

Only thing I am worried about is that BD air force only buys 5th generation aircraft like
J-31 next decade and not 4th generation planes.

when we are talking about BD air force then every-thing is predictible. even some source wrote that after compliting yak-130 delivery end su-30 will start coming..............

BD is way ahead of Mayanmar in Military Field but yes China factor there can not be denied i guess.

How do you figure that?

The main factor was the sanctions that lasted for quite a while. But it does not mean that Myanmar doesnt have the capability. As soon as most of sanctions were lifted in 2013 (though military embargo was not lifted at that time), Myanmar was on the front foot then and world saw some of its weapon systems for the first time on 27 March, 2013 and it had recently commissioned K-8W training planes and ATR-42 and BEECH-1900 D transport aircraft into service with many new inductions on the way.In short only the sanctions deterred it from getting hi tech equipment Myanmar desired at that time while BD was enjoying the liberty of anything it wanted to buy.
