Bangladesh approves Hindu property restoration act

@ The hour of departure has arrived, I may now go to West Bengal and settled there and Abir may come here and claim his ancenter's property some where near Noakhali and sell it to Al-Zaker. Soon Abir will become a millionier !!!!!! What a joke !!

hahaha what a joke... I was not aware of the fact that this so called abir is noakhailla...:P

They may be treacherous, but it's their hard earned property. Coveting it does not make you a gentle man either.

I agree with the new law to return the Hindu properties to the rightful owners. But, considering the mindset of Bangladeshis it would be unwise to expect a fair resolution. Even many govt offices and schools are on those properties. Note also that there are multiple owners of a single property after so many years. It will be difficult to prove for an Indian citizen that he/she is the sole or a partial owner. So, I expect things to remain as it is.

By the way, Hindus did not really earn their huge properties by fair means or hard labour. It was their duplicity after the Plassey that caused them to become rich at the expense of the Muslims.

The provisions are like that.

1) Government will publish the list of properties which are returnable. School and Hospitals will certainly fall into non returnable and will belong to government.
2) Only the Bangladeshi citizen can claim the properties with relvant papers from returnable properties. The claim will be settled within 90 days of the claim.
3) The non claimed properties will go to government and government will sell them out or keep them as Khash.

After this, there will not be no more enemy property which are protected by government anymore.

of course you would say that since this law is clearly biased for Hindus. I wonder if you will keep to this tune the next time BD makes a precised anti Hindu policy.

Hindus of bangladesh are getting back lands that are rightfully theirs. What is so biased about it?

@ If it is so than I have no objection. Well done Awami Leaque .

Blame it on the evil Hindus. Those pesky treacherous creatures.

Why do you think being noyakhailla a joke? Seems you lot don't have proper respect for yourselves. Anyway I was born and brought up in kolkata and so were my parents.

What duplicity? That they didn't stick to vedas and purana and learned science and math.

The article is very clear that Indian MPs, mostly Hindus are panicking over the thought that thousands of Muslims/kins may return to claim properties. Instead of taking this as an opportunity to make nice with citizens who left in fear, majority Hindus are worried about their ill gotten gains.

Thick Hasina OTOH is appearing to help out the Hindu folks in BD.

Indians should make pilgrimage (A pilgrimage is a journey or search of great moral or spiritual significance) to BD to take lessons in secularism.

India doesn't have such discriminatory law to begin with, the existing law only take custody of those who accepted pakistani citizenship before 65. Even then some guy has won back his property by supreme court verdict.

Well actually you are wrong here. You notice something that, bengali hindus do not have any warrior caste rather most of us are either brahmin, kayastha(scribes) or vashyia(traders).

Brahmins and kayastha were employed as admins by the sultans and moughals and british. The main reason hindus have a upper hand is that they learnt english.

Vashyias along with muslim traders started to enjoy, the internal economies of scale of the british traders.

You cant deny the fact that the Chirostaye Bondobosto (permanent lease of land) which single handedly made Hindus as Zamindars taking the land of ordinary farmer who were mostly Muslims.

How many were zamindars? 100, 200, 1000? Ordinary hindus were farmers, teachers, business men and other middle/lower class.

It did not hindus as zamindars. It made those who were either neutral or ppl siding with the british zamindars.

Btw zamindars were there during the moughal rule

Fish starts getting rotten from Head. Once Hindus were made Zamindar there comes the discrimination in the root level. Yes not all hinus were Zamindar but a Hindu farmer always were in better shape than a Muslim farmer, a Hindu trader always had a better position in trading. Then comes to Job, as Hindus were made Zamindar so does all the jobs related to Zamindari went to Hindus as well. All economy in rural Bengal revolved around hindu domination. Muslim got poorer and poorer day by day.
