QUETTA: The Pakistan Medical Association (Balochistan chapter) has warned that doctors working in government hospitals will resign if they are not provided proper security.
A PMA meeting on Wednesday condemned the kidnapping and killing of Dr Mumtaz Haider and said that doctors could not work in an environment of insecurity.
Eight doctors were killed over the past three years. Two doctors Din Mohammad Baloch and Akbar Marri have been missing for a long time, the meeting was informed.
The participants accused the government of not taking any action against elements involved in kidnapping and killing of doctors. It said the decision about resignation would be taken at a meeting of the Academic Council on April 25.
