Sazgar Engineering Works has launched a locally produced three-wheeler. According to reports, they will also be bringing three new BAIC Motors vehicles to Pakistan.

The venture is a collaboration between BAIC Motors – a Chinese state-owned carmaker – and Sazgar. They already have a category “A” Greenfield status and will be bringing BAIC BJ40 Plus (SUV), Senova X25 (Crossover) and Senova D20 (Hatchback).

This one has been designed for off-roading and at first glance looks a lot like the legendary Jeep Wrangler. It started life as a two-door SUV back in 2013 and was called the BJ40, then in 2016 it became a 4-door called the BJ40 L and has been given a facelift to become the BJ40 Plus.

It has 2.0 Turbo and 2.3 Turbo engine variants paired with a manual and automatic transmission, respectively. The former churns out 204hp and the latter 250hp.

This one is a subcompact crossover which was launched 2015 and is powered by 1.5L engine that is coupled with both manual and automatic transmissions

The final one on the list is the Senova D20, a 5-door hatchback. The car is a front-wheel-drive which has two variants, the 1.3L and the 1.5L. Both of them have an option of a manual or an automatic transmission.

It is pertinent to point out that most of these specifications are found on the models seen in the global market. We will have to wait and see which of these are carried over to the local market.

I despise rickshaw design, too much problem for the one driving behind to see anything ahead including bumps and then these rickshaws have a bad habit of doing sudden braking to almost 0 at main roads...
:lol::lol::lol:
same is the case with motorcyclists. no mirrors, trying to get through nook and crooks in between the traffic, coming from any direction..
i do wish that they would have given a bit of modernistic touch to the rickshaw here & also made them more tough for passenger safety..this is almost similar to the traditional design..anyways a nice decent start, hopefully other can follow suit and also bring innovative models..

Yea, these bikers should be given strong deadline to install side mirrors. Andaza walay kaam kartay hain aur phir martay hain garion ke neche aakar, awam gari walay ki bajadeti hai

I see, in near future, we are gonna need a huge workforce equipped with electric or electronic diplomas and courses.

A big step towards less air-pollution and noise-pollution :enjoy:

The Design of the rickshaws should also be modified to allow a two level type of breaking, pushing down one level slows down the rickshaw, and pushing all the way down stops the rickshaw fast. Definitely need side mirrors, but i'm happy they are trying to shift to electric rickshaws. It will consume our own electricity, which we can make from coal, and not burn oil or gas, which pollutes the immediate air of the city.

Bhai, peeche wala banda 50 par chala ra hai, rickshaw comes in the fast lane, sees a bump and brakes as if unke abba ka ghar hai, peeche wala brake maray aur uske peeche wala gari ko marde
Just need to do three things.

First to educate them/all gradually
Second to force idustries to put control mechanism in braking
Third Sufficient Signs for speed breakers.

Well i noticed, in paksitan Ajeeb qism k speed-breakers banaty han log erected type k..
Why dont we make them sloped at 60 Degrees ??:hitwall:
