Bahria Town,Hyatt Hotels to build 4 branded hotels in Islamabad,Karachi,Lahore,Rawalpindi with $600M

Looks like there is going to be a lot of competition in the hospitality industry of Pakistan. Hashoo group of Sadrudin Hashwani and Bahria group of Malik Riaz will be in direct competition. It will definitely mean good things for Pakistan :D

haha lets see hashoo group have been in this business for many years while malik riaz is toddler in service industry.

Balochistan has not only Gwadar but also Reko Diq. Why is not Reqo Diq being developed. It is supposed to have trillion dollars worth of minerals esp rare earths which go into electronics?

Regards

Baluchistan needs infrastructure before it's mineral resources can be extracted otherwise no amount of investment would be financially viable.

With all due respect Pakistan needs to focus and it's literacy rate/education more so than building Hotels....

Soul, Russia has the most minerals in the world in fact worth $45 Trillion Dollars. Can't extract it and put it to use otherwise Russia would be the wealthiest Country in the world.

Wow welcome Investment. They have great high standard hotels. I saw hyatt regency in abu dhabi. This is very welcome investment.

What about quetta and peshawer ?
Pushtuns and baloch are not citizens of pakistan?
Right now. This is not good place for investment due to security reason. We should not tell lie to our guests in abu dhabi.
Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi is safe bet

lol just when i thought i have read it all, someone amazes me once again

Bahria is already facing criticism of land grabing in Punjab.
If it start investing in Baluchistan and Peshawar, it will be agains blamed.
Imagine the Bahria Karachi is being built upon a land which was worthless, now every politician will buy small houses in goths around and will blackmail Bahria, as usual.
Same happened in Rawalpindi and same happened in Lahore.

They are far slower in development than Bahria. This is their history.
I expect, if they promise to deliver someproject in 5 years, it will be delivered in 15-20 years.
In between, there's always a chance that small-mid size developer may default.
They have no comparison with Bahria, where project is completed before the given date.

what do u think about the Green Palms project of rafi group?me and my relative were thinking of investing there

Epic mian,

With all due respect Pakistan needs to focus and it's literacy rate/education more so than building Hotels....

With due respects, both activities are not mutually exclusive. It is the job of the state to provide education, of private enterprise to build hotels. Different folks, different strokes!

In fact once hotels are built, they will generate tax revenues for the govt which can use the same to provide good schools, hospitals etc.
