Pakistani politicians have forgotten it; Imran Khan is reasserting it.

There's an old sea story about a ship's Captain who inspected his sailors, and afterward told the first mate that his men smelled like sh!!t. The Captain suggested perhaps it would help if the sailors would change underwear occasionally.
The first mate responded, "Aye, aye sir, I'll see to it immediately!"
The first mate went straight to the sailors berth deck and announced, "The Captain thinks you bastards smell like sh!!t and wants you to change your underwear."
He continued, "Shumer, you change with Nadler; Biden, you change with Van Jones and Sunstein, you change with Holder."


THE MORAL OF THE STORY:

Someone may come along and promise "Change", but it may be even sh!tt!er than before!

I don't know why TET put the heading as 'Backdoor Diplomacy' - where the statements clearly shows there's nothing backdoor.

That’s all we are looking for from our leadership - to state our case like IK is trying to do rather than swinging between unquestionable love and war mania.

we need to have relations with all countries that matter to us be it bilateral trade, education, mutual interests, disputes and share the same goals. we cant become a Recluse state like Afghanistan during the Taliban rule.
whether we like it or not but USA is a country that we have to have relations not just based on military and WoT but education, commerce, trade and our American Pakistani population.

the only difference in this "comfortable" relationship should be mutual respect and trust and Americans will give us the credit and react favourably when they would be dealing with a leadership which has the state and its people as its priority not the money in Swiss accounts and the property in Dubai and London etc.

Why should we criticise Americans if yet again a majority of us will still be voting for Nawaz league and PPP? When Americans have to deal with these same sell outs who in public do all the chest thumping in the name of Islam & their “sacrifices” for democracy . but secretly meet the US diplomats begging to help them keep their money & power then Americans would never ever treat us with respect.

Imran will only get the chance if people of Pakistan actually make a decision not to vote for the usual suspects and Imran has never made a secret about how he wants to have a relation with American, he says that we will help America to end WoT and get out of Afghanistan helping in stabilising the region.
