Roumors are that PAF might get 7 more FFG-8.
Mmm, that's not McInerney. It's not even a Perry class frigate. It's an Arleigh Burke flight IIA destroyer (roughly 2x the displacement of McInerney).

Military experts such as John Keegan have noted that in any future naval conflict between reasonably evenly matched powers, all surface shipsincluding aircraft carrierswould be at extreme and disproportionate risk, mainly due to the advanced capabilities of satellite reconnaissance and anti-ship missiles. Contrary to the thrust of most current naval spending, Keegan therefore postulates that eventually most navies will move to submarines as their main fighting ships, including in roles where submarines play only a minor or no role at the moment.
Then why is the RN shifting from Invincible class carriers (The one which can operate only jump jets) to CTOL Elizabeth class carriers (for F-35s or even a possible naval version of the Typhoon).

UK can afford and maintain 4 such ACs buddy...Pakistan cannot, given its limitations of resources, funds and also off course, your doctrine....
Read my post above....i hope that gives you a better view....
Cheers!!!
FYI I was not commenting on Pakistan's needs..... I was commenting on the point about the future of aircraft carriers.
I don't see how PN would need one. I just don't see it being funded it is pointless. You could join the turkish LPD project but us needing one is obvious since we have a huge coast and we do require a good sized amphibious assault/landing force.

Yes, precisely...!!!
Moreover, Pakistan has a small water area to defend and hence as i said before they need to afford the best they can have within their limitation....PN needs to assess the strategic importance and can plan accordingly, keeping their neighbors in mind....
Btw, JIGS bro....there were news that Bangladesh may buy Subs and Milgem class corvettes from Turkey....can you please enlighten on that matter......i am really excited about the possibility of this deal with Turkey....
Thanx...
Cheers!!!
The Bangladesh Navy plans to eventually induct twelve to sixteen MİLGEM class guided missile corvettes with at least 4 vessels inducted over the next 10 years. The vessels of Bangladesh will be constructed at the Khulna Shipyard (KSY) which is owned and operated by the Bangladesh Navy.
As for subs i think the deal was for 3 or 4 Type 209s built in Turkey. Which are German subs but we will be doing the build for Bangladesh.
Type 209 subs.
