The figures quoted above are totally off for MICA and AMRAAM.
MICA range remains classified but tests have been made against targets at 70 km. It can also sustain a 50+ G load factor.

I don't think that 27 g limit missille is sufficient enough to intercept modern day fighters,read some time back in (thinking its in key pub)that missile should be capable of performing 5 timse the g-limit of the aircraft it is going to encounter.

Its is the first test to check the g-level and other sub systems. Off course more tests will be done on more maneuvering targets...means more G-force

we should start a missile program for short range heat seeking/imaging type missiles. Compared to BVR short range air to air missile are having high probability to hit aerial targets .
