Bad weather for the businessman Ziad Takieddine the center of the case of Karachi. Reportedly, judges Renaud Van Ruymbeke and Roger Le Loire, who indicted, Wednesday, Sept. 14, the intermediary for "complicity and the misuse of corporate assets" , conducted in early in the seizure of all property held in France.

These include the sumptuous mansion on Avenue Georges-Mandel (Paris, XVI e ), close to the Trocadero, it occupies when visiting Paris, and his luxurious residence located in Cap d ' Antibes , in the Var. In early August, a family court judge was on his side carried out the temporary freeze of assets of the intermediary at the request of his wife Nicole Johnson , with whom he is divorcing.

Now continued in the financial aspect of the case of Karachi, Mr. Takieddine is liable to judicial review, which forbids him to leave the territory and to enter into contact with the other protagonists of the case. "We are totally satisfied TODAY 'hui to be finally able to have access to a folder for a year and a half behind without being able to have access " , reacted to his leaving the office of Judge Takieddine, who said to "trust the justice " .

"I am absolutely certain that we will be in the coming weeks of revelations about the critical questioning in connection with the financing of the campaign of Edouard Balladur, a number of French politicians who will have to make the accounts " , for his part said the lawyer for the families of victims of the attack in Karachi, M e Olivier Morice .

Intermediate French-Lebanese is suspected of having improperly received substantial commissions on the margins of two arms contracts signed in haste in late 1994 by the government of Edouard Balladur , the sale of submarines to Pakistan (the contract Agosta) and frigates to the Saudi Arabia (the contract Sawari II). Mr. Takieddine was imposed each time the last time at the request of the Minister of Defence at the time, Francois Leotard .

Judges Renaud Van Ruymbeke and Roger Le Loire wonder if some of the money (tens of millions of euros) received by Mr. Takieddine thanks to these contracts could be used to fund - illegally - the presidential campaign of Edward Balladur in 1995, through kickbacks.

Ziad Takieddine, very present in the entourage of Mr. Balladur at the time, maintaining close relationships with today several figures of Sarkozi: Claude Gueant , Hortefeux , Jean-Francois Cope ... a close, detailed in the book The Contract (eds. Stock, 2010), confirmed by the publication this summer of documents and photographs on the site Mediapart, which is more embarrassing for the power .

so who got the money?

So far i think under the control of french government but as french govt as well as zardari was involved in the deal and all the chaos the deal went through so they might find out a way to escape with that , we might see french govt defending the person.

Also the article indicates that the money earned by him from these contracts could have been spend on the presidential campaign in 1995
