What? I thought "democracies" don't use the army to crush innocent protesters.

This single statement proves two points:

1. You don't know the meaning of a democracy
2. By calling Maoists 'innocent protesters', you don't know the abc's of the issue you are talking about.

Yay they should have been armed , this is all changing after a new home Minister has taken charge massive police reforms all those bolt action things cops used to use being replaced by INSAS and new platoons of police are being raised and trained by Ex-Army officials in Jungle warfare.
The very presence of an Army Trained Police fore is scaring the out of them.

Tactics have been changed, its Exterminate the Maoists first and then rehabilitate the people caught in the cross fire.
Cops are using the Bunker technique instead of the Area domination technique , which has reduced the total casualty rate.
