I have come to the conclusion that the majority of Pakistanis actually support the Taliban or at least are in different to the atrocities they commit.
The largest protest against the Taliban was from MQM, which is normal as they are always anti Taliban. But apart from a few hundreds who protested in the big cities, I didn't see any sort of negative reaction to the Taliban. Even now, on youtube etc, I am getting in to arguments with Pakistanis who say that Pakistani army is fighting the Americans war. And that the Taliban are truly Islamic.
Lal Masjid guy can sit in there with thousands of students barking against the children who died yet I hardly see any large protests against him. Sectarian outfits roaming freely, the Army turns a blind eye, politicians still protecting them.
