But courts does not have a dedicated intelligence unit with them, which PA have in form of Military Intelligence and it's Special Investigation Group which can detect a Brigadier having links with Hizb e tahrir, then why not the corruption?

it would be very sad and disgusting if what you said is indeed true, but i personally don't believe that these incidents are normally occuring and/or endorsed.

people talk, even in the Army. It's increasingly harder to get away with this kind of corruption. And thank God that it's a bit easier now to weed out the bad apples. Better to happen sometime than to never happen at all.

i mean this allegation against the accused Major is EXTREMELY a serious one.....i cannot emphasize how serious this is, if it is true. Though i can also assure you that it will have no impact on the Instituion ---it does harm its prestige but then again we have politicians who hide their assets overseas, misdeclare assets, and dont even pay tax or their utility bills.....



bottom line --> if you f*ck around, you should be caught. Doesnt matter who the hell you are.

But, sad if the major was really involved, should be taken off duty if proved guilty and nt befitting of a officer.

Taken off duty? This fellow should be court-martialled and put in the brig! But then, he's small fry. How about corruption at higher levels? It's common to see Generals in their Audis, Mercs, BMWs, Land Rovers etc. Have these expensive vehicles been bought from the legitimate pay and allowances of Army officers or is it from slush money?

LAHORE, Sept 12: A serving army major has been taken into custody in connection with the theft of copper cable from a wagon of the Pakistan Railways.

A statement issued by the ISPR said on Monday Major Ayub had been arrested.



A spokesperson for the PR police said that Station Master of the Kharian Station, Muhammad Zaman, goods booking clerk Muhammad Adnan and Muhammad Saleem of PR ET Branch had been arrested.



The PR personnel informed interrogators about the involvement of Major Ayub and Ayaz Baig and Abdullah.



The accused revealed that the stolen cable had been sold in Gujrat, the spokesman said, adding that Rs1.8 million had been recovered.
