What's new

Army hands over keys of houses to flood victims.

.... and some people will BLINDLY follow the flag waving lemmings ever deeper into the quagmire, and refuse any lifeline thrown to them.

"Having a heart" is NO excuse to usurp civilian domains.

Is it the fault of the Army that the Civilian Institutions cannot deliver the services required by the people, the Army stepped up because the Civilian Government is no where to be seen because their leaders are busy first filling up their pockets and the welfare of the people comes secondary for them. If the Civilian Government can deliver the governance that is demanded by the People of Pakistan, the Army would be happy to hand over these projects to the civilian and return to do the job they are required to.

That is actually a great point. I will agree with this.

However, these projects should be completed with civilian involvement.

There is nothing that is stopping the Civilian Government from coming over and taking part in the reconstruction effort, they have only themselves to blame for their incompetence.

Yes, I agree they are helping the local population, but the price that the while nation pays for it in the longer run is not worth it, as has been shown time and again for Pakistan.

Great Analogy, why dont you go tell that to the Family who has been living in tents that they cannot get a roof over their head because the civilian government is not interested in providing you with shelter. I wonder if your views would have been the same if you were living in refugee camps
