Not in Pakistan but in Punjab primarily, Haleem is eaten with naan or bread. Sorry to say but eating Haleem with nan or bread is pretty insulting towards this dish. Haleem must be enjoyed on its own. Well, this reminds me that I should ask my wife to prepare some. Just few days ago I purchased excellent quality shanks and loin.

As far as Harees(a) goes, it is primarily a middle eastern cuisine that should also be enjoyed on its own like the Arabs do. However, we have adapted it to eat with naan, which is fine, it is just not the authentic way of eating it.

IMO he means Harees(a) which is can eaten with kashmiri bread.

pakistani haleem I ate here, is tasiter than the one I ate in hyderabad. They are not even made from same thing, I remember hydrabadi one looked white and probably had semolina.
Also I cant eat haleem on its own, I need naan, its too spicy for me.

I think you are a Pakistani..if Haleem of pak is that tasty why it isnt exported in big quantities to other countries like hyderabadi Haleem or harees..its like every region in India boasting nothing can beat their biryani when in fact they can't even be called biryani and pale and stale in comparison to Hyderabadi biryani.
