Anwesha - Saat Bhai Champa

This is to calm people down, there is just a lot of friction anyway.

This girl is just an awesome singer !!

She has the same tamber as Lata...
yet I am surprised the other girl won that competition..
If one really wants to gauge her ability.. listen to her voice on cam..
Pure, unaltered.. and supreme.

You understood the way she sings.

I am pleasantly surprised to know that you picked up on that. I thought only a Bengali could understand that.

There is something in that girls vocal that gives you goosebumps. It is absolutely pure, what an experience and honor to hear her singing. God bless her.

Not shaky at all, must have steamed a lot of "Raags"
when she was young, otherwise the voice could have been shaky.

Its still premature to compare her with Lata though time will tell.
This are old songs, used to hear'em when we were kiddos,
they don't don't play this stuffs over here anymore.

That sh*tty introduction of autotune changed everything .
Anyone can be a singer nowadays. After Partition,
ustaads went home and Bands came in. Its more
about who can scream louder or who's a specalist
in autune that marks the spot this days

(By the way does anyone know, some group
is trying to bring Metallica in BD this year?:P)

Metallica is coming to India this year, may be they are trying to make them go to BD as well.

Anyways they are grandpas now, I still repent missing Opeth and Porcupine Tree! :(

Heck I couldn't even attend Jethro Tull when they came to Calcutta! :hitwall:

But autotune sometimes sounds nice when used correctly, like habib wahid's songs

Well that is the problem you know. When someone uses autotune
the outcome depends not on their voice but skills in PC. That Habib and Balam
should be be gone before is too late. Younglings should play guitar, drums bass
not autotune. Not to worry though, the revival of Lalon in fusions are changing the scenario fast.

Metalica sucks. Tagore rocks 7 days a week 367.

I grew up in a house with too many older sisters who loved this kind of songs. I had no choice ( as a man) but to listen to Tagore and other chick flick musics.
