Hahaha Pakistan has got it's own nomenclature,in some places they even call an Ak as Sten.
ANF has already got Type 56-I along with few M-16,G3's and AUG's.They hardly have firefights, an AR-15 based platform or even MP-5 would have been better then M05E2 and AK103.

if we are looking at cheap platforms and low maintenance such as AK, then we should go for Krinkov in 5.45....low recoil, compact weapon and lethal....more potent round then 5.56

Russia is making a new cartridge to shelve 5.45 and the Type 56 was stop gap for the operations. I guess Anti Narco work never stops but they could have considered CZ Bren
