Analysis: US carrier visit a dilemma for China

what i hear the most complaint about is if they cross/shoot into/near china's EEZ, according to the us EEZ's are open to others for passing through

Western media just ape the US administration. All they do is keep screaming about international waters and about how US can do as it please in international waters.

There are laws of the seas that your media is not telling you.
EEZ and the international waters overlapps. BUT you have no right to do as you please in the EEZ.

EEZ's are open to military ships..the only hold a country has over her EEZ's is that only she can profit from the minerals under it. Other countries have the right to sail, pass pipelines etc through it.

EEZ only allows INNOCENT passage. That is from A to B.

Holding war games IS not INNOCENT passage.
Pulling underwater sonic devices to scan the ocean and preparing for future war IS not INNOCENT passage.

That is why United States is the ONLY major industralize country that has not ratify the UN Law Of the Sea.

So stop interpreting a law that you have not ratify....to your advantage.

It seems to me that you're talking about mother india with its hungry population and a billion dollar arms purhase from uncle sam.

Inspite of having hungry population & billion dollar arms purchase, Poor India gave rich former east pakistan (now bangladesh) $ 1 billion as soft loan. Your govt gleefully accepted it. And $1 billion is 1/10th of your dollar reserves which stands at ~ $10 billion

Your statement may be apt for pakistan. Aftermath of 9/11, the country would have defaulted on its external debts if not for the restructuring of those loans.

see the report prepared by ADB & STATE BANK OF PAKISTAN.
