Well not really communist because they reject Mc Donalds/KFC. The Russians seem to have become/becoming paranoid about anything western(which is quite strange) and they seem to be isolating themselves/closing up more since the events in Ukraine. since it was the Chinese who were once isolated with their radical communist ideology of being totally anti western/imperialism(which is what led to the sino soviet split as the new Russian government wanted more rapproachement /cooperation with the west), Putin seems to be wanting to go back to the this past erroneous ideologie in another way, not knowing that today we live in a globalized world.

I agree. Have tried some of the non-franchised home-made foods there.

But to our interested members who are conscious of their health, KFC is also the worst amongst chicken restaurants. Ban them as well.

Well it's hard to see any other choice for Russia.

After being sanctioned by the West, they are bound to see anything western as inherently risky, and vulnerable to political issues. No point enjoying imports from the West if they will be shut off at a moment's notice, based on politics (like the recent fruit import issue between the EU and Russia).

That's why I personally don't like the idea of economic sanctions.

The whole point of international trade, is that ALL sides benefit from it. Whereas sanctions are the opposite, sanctions are bad for business, for all sides.

To be honest i agree that this fast food chain is of poor nutritional value/junk food. Reason i have never taken my son to one, nor do any member of my familly.lol
