Aljazeera: Hong Kong Protests: Hundreds stage sit-in at city tax offices

Those who don't want to be Chinese citizens can go to their colonial master UK. Colonial mentality can be found in many former British colonies, Hong kong is no exception.

Must be an Asian thing.
Not really applicable to the US. Maybe because it was far better over here than over in Britain so there wasn't anything to look up to them about. They were just mortal men in the way.

Forcefully preventing other Hong Kong citizens entering the building where the tax office is located is overboard. Peaceful protests are acceptable, but forcefully preventing others doing their own personal business in a building that happened to house the tax office is not.

All that has created a huge backlash from the community and today, contrary to yesterday's "heroic" shenanigans; the clownish cowards (always masking their faces)+scumbags stand in front of the building today, bowing and saying SORRY to the folks:

Young students brain washed by their Western teachers and lecturers. Used as pawn by USA and UK.

One key point on extraidction law which the protestors either are ignorant to / or conveniently ignore is that is Hong Kong can not send anyone to Mainland China or any other country unless that person has committed a crime outside Hong Kong that

1) is also recognised as a crime in Hong Kong. (i.e. a law offence not recognised in Hong Kong is NOT a crime, but a murder or rape is.)

2) if the crime committed does not carry a sentence of 3 years or more under Hong Kong law, that person cannot be extradited to Mainland China or any other country.

So, unless you have committed some serious crime, why worry about the new amendment on the extradition law?

lol who wants to be with China when they have all the freedoms already?

If you speak against the Chinese govt, you're as good as dead. Props to HK'ers fighting against assimilation with a dictatorship.
