False..Al masri el youm , is pro Egyptian government and they have a history of embellishing things...Algeria doen't have that kind of troops on the Lybian border and there no troop reinforcement..But there is a lot of activity in both side border, with heavy armements smuggling...There isn't one day that passes without a smugglers arrest.. It seems that they are probing the border defence system.

Looks like someone forgot how their military got raped in 1991-2002 by militants and then your military surrendered to the militants and made a "peace treaty" with them lol, death toll reached 200,000 while the militants were about 40,000 only, yeah your military didn't kill civilians lol, look at the difference between the Algerian military coup against the Islamists in 1992, and the Egyptian military coup against the Islamists in 2013, look at the difference of results and deaths between the 2 incidents then talk about who's military is better at controlling insurgency and avoiding civilian casualties lol

What coup are you talking about? ... president chadli resigned and the elections were canceled by the Army who assumed their constitutional responsibility and protected the country.
You say the Algerian Army surrendered???? Are you out of the your mind? ... the fight was already over long before the newly elected president Bouteflika took office and suggested that those who had no blood on their hands should be allowed to surrender their arms and give themselves up.....all the terrorist networks were already broken before Bouteflika's arrival and many Algerians didn't appreciate the president's move to give some of them a way out! however the hardcore terrorists are still in prison today!! So who surrendered to whom?
The Algerian Army is the only army I know that defeated a whole army of Islamist terrorists!.....their numbers today is estimated to be around 100 and every time they show their faces they are dealt with swiftly.
