Your right, the F-16s is best reserved for A2A, and this will incentivize the PAF to build or procure all needed A2G munitions for the JF-17.

on a side note; If western defense sales are being approved; it may be the perfect time for the Pakistani military to approach the Emiratis and Qataris to seek French approval for a sale of their 89 Mirage 2000s to Pakistan, as was tried by General Bajwa in 2017.

They still have the air-frame potential to serve another 20 years and can open up European munitions onto a European platform with limited if any need for modification. European A2G Munitions can also open up another avenue for the latest munitions in the even of a supply issue from our other suppliers. It will make war time resupply by Arab allies more easier, as the platforms will be programmed to carry the Storm Shadow (or Black Shaheen in UAE service) and the AASM "Hammer" Bombs which Qatar already operates; and provide adequate self protection with MICA and Meteor missiles.

I think from late 1990s begining with Clinton there was 'hurtle' towards India but now I feel US has taken stock decided not to consign Pakistan to the bin but try a more nuanced approach which keeps options open with Pakistan even if India is chosen as the US fulcrum in Asia.

I have a strong feeling that Army Leadership does bring these Choppers up in their meeting with American Political and military leadership , IK does hint that we will give Americans good news regarding 2 hostages, maybe because of that these Zulu's will be released . But again, it is my personal Opinion and I can be wrong .

I would not rule out the return of US choppers now.

The only reason i want these Choppers ASAP, is so we can roast these TTP , BLA and JuA stooges who are up to disrupt the Afghan/Pakistan peace .
