KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is likely to launch action against some 60-plus top officers of the Sindh government allegedly involved in corruption, land grabbing and other illegal activities in the next few days, The News has learnt.

Sources told that a list of these officers mentioning their illegal activities along with documentary evidence has been sent to NAB for quick action. The report says corruption and land grabbing are directly linked with terrorism as the intelligence agencies are of the view that these finances were used in terrorist activities.

It was decided at the time of finalisation of National Action Plan that no corrupt politician and officer will be spared and this action against these corrupt elements is the part of that plan.

Well-placed sources told The News that Intelligence agencies who are assisting the Law Enforcing Agencies in the ongoing operation against criminals in Karachi and other parts of Sindh has recommended to NAB through the Federal authorities to take action against 63 top bureaucrats of the Sindh government allegedly involved in corruption, land grabbing and giving illegal benefits to political high-ups by misusing their authority. Sources claimed that this report was also presented in the last apex committee meeting presided over by the Chief Minister Sindh.

NAB sources confirmed the move and said that action has already been started, and quoted the arrest of secretary Sindh excise department Badar Jameel Mendhro and director Sindh Anti-Corruption department Khadim Hussain Channa for their alleged involvement in corruption.

According to official statement of NAB investigations have been authorised against six officers of Sindh government including former chief secretary Sindh Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha, chairman Chief Minister’s inspection team Subhan Memon, Qadir Bux, Gadda Hussain Abro, Imtiaz Solangi and Salih Nukrich for illegal allotment of land. In this report some officers of Sindh government have been alleged to have financially supported some ethnic terrorist groups after getting millions of rupees on monthly basis in the name of fake and ghost employees.

Give them all life sentences. All these dicks are responsible for whats happening in Karachi and in Thar.
We are in a soft Martial Law right now, agencies and army have full control over the entire country, govt is just a farce, an outer face to show the world Pakistan believes in Democracy, so as to not anger US politicians.
Hope this all goes through, Sindh has suffered enough.
