It will lose money.

It's better to upgrade existed road, especially national road, widening it.

Build seaports, make it less bureaucratic, simple-efficient and cheaper.

Then you have tollways spanning from one end of the island to the other end, and expanding current rail networks. Then you have dams and power generation projects. Then you have development of new industrial and tourism regions. HSR is not even the top prio of the govt

Lebih ngeri planning Jakarta greater area, MRT, LRT, double double track commuter lines, underground water electricity and gas pipes, Jakarta Seaport expansion plan, Soekarno Hatta internasional airport expansion plan phase 2, more outer ring roads.

In Sulawesi got new railway, Sumatra got 2000 km long tollways or U bahn, more seaport in Maluku islands and Papua.

Just wishing Bali and Lombok got their railway systems instead of tollways
