Aamir Khan to play Krishna in Mahabharata

It would be in appropriate for a Hindu to play a chsrscter in a film about Islamic religous figures just as it’s inappropriate for Muslims to play a role in a film about Hindu religious icons.

In Islam their are no movies about religious figure, it is STRICTLY disallowed and yes Amir bhai should do the decent thing and let a follower of Puranic faith play Krishna.Kudos Rascal

1000 crores ($150 million) is a huge risk, hopefully it will pay off.

Its subcontinent. People will go for the “Unchi dukaan”. Mahabali with its great CGI and a bit of story managed to collect 5000 crore+. If this movie (at budget of 1000 crore) is able to collect 1500 then its a hit. 2000 then super hit. And 2000 is no big deal for markets like India. I am confident with 6000 crore.

Arjun-bhai in B.R Chopra Mahabharat was muslim. Rascal seems to not know that haha.

When they mean 7 part series here I wonder if that means like 7 episode in a miniseries or 7 seasons.

A miniseries would not be enough to cover all the intricacies (many left out by even B.R chopra one)..but guess lets see.

A 7 parts, 1 series is too little of time to cover Mahabaharat. Unless they are planning to cover only a specific side of mahabaharat in first 5 parts and then just add the climax of whole fight in last 2 parts (each of 2.5-3 hours).

Not the kind of thread that interests me. What green chaddis or khaki chaddis have to do with art and culture is unknown to me, and the prospect a distinctly displeasing one. Read the stupid comments by Surya1 and Sakra, for instance.

Amir Khan is not a Krishna material, I will prefer Saurabh Raj Jain as Krishna as he played Krishna well in the Mahabharata serial. Hope they don't try to do their propanda like message of Mahabharata is Gandhian peace and all . It's actually quite the opposite.

No idea, perhaps they are banking on the stature of the actor. And Krishna was old compared to the Pandavas, so I guess he will fit the image quite well.

I am more interested in who will play the role of Karna, as he will need both physique and acting skills, that rules out John Abraham.

Maybe, issue with Prabhas will be to get over the Bahubali character, and he fits more into the goodie good side of Pandavas.

The actor of Padmavat, I think Ranbir, is a good fit for Durjodhon.
