The problem is immature behavior on PDF, I dont believe anyone would have any issues regarding difference in political views or disagreeing with policies of a state but name calling, swearing, abusing, calling for rebellion, war, violence, hatred, division, targeting state institutes is the issue. Alot of members crossed that line. Whats surprising is we all are educated and role models for our state, I would say not much difference between us and those who are in villages playing it dirty. Whats the difference between us and them? Reading twitter comments, youtube comments, Tiktok comments shows the real face of the educated people.

We all should learn and move on, make PDF strictly a professional site where people discuss world related issues in a respectful manner, without any abuse.

We don't want to be lapdogs or mouth pieces of the norm but push the limits of civilised discourse. Freedom should have no price and price should not be gagging. However, uncivilised insults thrown at Pakistan army by paid Indian agents disguised as Pakistanis or disgruntled Pakistani election losers is unacceptable.

Pakistan needs to redefine and respect human rights , unfortunately it is still infected with colonial legacy of oppression:

Tbh I don't blame anyone residing in Pakistan or with family there.

It's not easy to put yourself at risk of rape or torture.

Freely speaking about holy cows puts you at that risk.

Worst still it puts others at risk.

I respect any decision webmaster takes.

We started as defence forum. I remember there were countless ex military officers on this forum. I used to read threads about JF-17, Al-Khalid Tank and Ballistic Missiles for hours and hours.

So much of technical data was available and I learned so much about various defence equipments. At that time, the political side was minimum and we used to warn people on daily basis. I have banned at least 2000 members about 10 years ago and probably didn’t ban half of them in the next 10 years.

This forum was better at that time despite having limited number of topics. Now there are so many low quality threads that most of the time, the moderators ignore it because they are too many and too much time consuming. We all have a working life with family and kids so can’t spend 18 hour a day moderating the forum anymore.

Irrespective of whatever measure you take to protect your identity, it is quite difficult to protect yourself when one from an intelligence group try to go behind you.
At the end of the day, it is just another forum where the sponsor or the owner of the forum is doing it for their interest. At least to protect those leadership people, each poster should be responsible enough to understand the ground situation in Pakistan. At the end of the day, everyone has to live within their environment. You can not fight with the boss of your ecosystem and stay with them too.

unpopular opinion for some, but it seems the establishment has won this round as they have consistently for multiple decades. I will refrain from speaking on politics not because of the fear of establishment but because of the owner of this forum and I am not heartless. That being said it’s not up to me or a handful but the whole nation of pakistan. I don’t appreciate somebody saying “not being politically active” dear sir, I have voted so I have EVERY right, again I will not put anybody’s personal in Jeopardy in the garb of my selfishness. Lastly I volunteer to moderate this forum and I’ll sit for effin free and with total commitment and effort but alot of you will laugh or think me incapable. So let’s leave it that. Criticism has two sides, positive and negative. The members had a choice, they chose latter and then jumped on the bandwagon with political youtubers and twitter users who carved out every rumor as per their own imagination whether it was close to reality or not.

Thieves and haram khoori traitors are just that and should be called out.
