6 and most Important You are embarrassing me. and the kind of rules you are explaining are extremism to me. All rules for women and men can roam around like sanndh (bull).
Your post has a lot of other issues side tracking from the issue of this thread, about this Muslim woman in Kashmir engaging in non-Muslim prayers.
I am talking about basic fiqh of hijab, that Muslims teach their 7 year old's or should teach them like what is awraa of a woman and a man.
In Pakistan, a lot of women do hijab, because they have great respect for the Sunnah of our Habeeb sallAllaho alaihi wa sallam.
If one goes to Hajj, he has to learn the basic fiqh of Hajj, so that he could perform its blessed duties properly, and similarly for awraa of the body too.

could you plz write in simple language...............half of things are going over my head????????

At least we should ourselves know the rulings of Shariat. That is the major issue today. Muslims engage in dunyavi knowledge and neglect the Islamic Sciences, of which a dozen are major. One is fiqh under which this issue of a Muslim engaging in non-Muslim prayer comes. It would have been a different matter if she were singing hindu idol worshipping hymns.
In Pakistan, the Shariat Courts follow rulings as Based in the Hanafi madhab, as that is the madhab of the vast majority of ahlesunnat in the country. The ruling of illegality on this issue in the case of Christians or Jews is very Stern [assuming Sikhs do believe in One God and are not idol worshippers like hindus]
InshaAllah taála I will provide a detailed reference.
Is music actually considered haraam in Islam? Is talking also taken in the same light?

Talking? What do you mean?
Music... There is difference of opinion on the issue... but as I understand it in an Islamic State music is permitted...
However this lady is in a totally different league here... Would someone post some lyrics from a Kirtan on this forum... We could see if it is similar to Qawali or not...![]()

Depends what is being said, doesn't it? Ever heard the Christian, Amazing Grace or Hallelujah? Doesn't seem bad at all and is extremely pleasant to the ears.assalamu álaykum naushad brother

Muslims artists, musicians, weavers etc have been involved in temple activities for centuries. Its not a big deal.
Traditional Tamil nadaswaram music in temples are usually played by muslims.
Muslims make the sacred fabric and garland for temples.
Hindus go and play in Darghas and they even have Hindu festivals to celebrate historical islamic figures.
This how India is for the most places.

The blessed Qurán al Kareem is the Eternal Speech of Allah Subhanahu wa taála. Its us Muslims who read and memorize it, if we call ourselves Muslims.
Which Muslim will think of stopping other Muslims from reading the Quran al-Majeed?
No one said Muslims are afraid of reading other books. The issue is of engaging in non-Muslim prayers, which falls under the jurisdiction of fiqh, as Pakistan is an Islamic State, and Islam is the state religion.
I wonder if its the same as Salman Ahmed's (of Junoon) "Man gum sum Maula".Music knows no limits, divisions or boundaries.
Having said that, let me make a small suggestion to you:
Please google "Man Kunto Maula"; it is a a Qaul (devotional music). There are many versions available on YouTube sung by musicians like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen and so many other musicians. Try to listen to as many of them as you can. You may not understand even a word, but will not stop you from appreciating what you hear. (i understand very little) but that is no deterrent. The wonder of it all is even a Non-Believer in anything or everything will find something beautiful there.
