It would be best to wait for the police investigation to complete and have the court case present the evidence. Why the rush to judgement based on preconceived notions?

You can read back what is commonly understood by the term 'road rage' in an earlier post of mine. There is substantial literature on the phenomenon.Narrow sidewalks usually have wider roads, so even IF the group was let's say slight on the edge of the road, bringing them ONTO the road, why would you drive onto a curb (taken from various articles) almost knocking off a civilian? Why not drive around them? I'd even buy the half baked story of it being 'man slaughter' but road rage? What a joke.
This is what I've been saying all along. It would be best to wait for the police investigation to complete and have the court case present the evidence. Why the rush to judgement based on preconceived notions?

People react, people jump the gun and hey it is the internet.
Ok folks stay on topic.
RIP dear lady. As for the vermin who did this, an illegal from El-Salvador how horrid.

As for scenario, like I said: insults exchanged, guy gets mad and uses his car as weapon or to intimidate. In legaleze it is often called 'vehicular assault' if the result is not deadly (other wise it is vehicular homicide).
Vehicular assault—Penalty.
(1) A person is guilty of vehicular assault if he or she operates or drives any vehicle:
(a) In a reckless manner and causes substantial bodily harm to another; or
(b) While under the influence of intoxicating liquor or any drug, as defined by RCW 46.61.502, and causes substantial bodily harm to another; or
(c) With disregard for the safety of others and causes substantial bodily harm to another.
(2) Vehicular assault is a class B felony punishable under chapter 9A.20 RCW.
(3) As used in this section, "substantial bodily harm" has the same meaning as in RCW 9A.04.110.

This is what I've been saying all along.
I'm speculating? And others aren't by claiming this to be a non-hate crime? Just because biased media and authorities say so? Right.
What you are doing is the very definition of speculation.
Calling media and authorities biased is an allegation. Again no proof offered.
People seeking proof that it was a hate crime are NOT speculating.
It seems you are changing meanings of words to suit your agenda.
Flawed reasoning: you are up front equating this VA situation and those in Europe. Without any look at what is known about those events in Europe. So, not only are you attempting to put words into my mouth, but also it is just plain silly to compare (since none of these have been cases of road rage)So the psychos that went on a rampage at Westminister and other parts of Europe (I can come up with plenty of excuses/scenarios that may have provoked them) should be binded to 'road rage' too, no?
... or a tire iron or what have you. It doesn't need to be common for it to happen frequently. Personally, I never leave home without it ;-)It's common in America to carry baseball bats in cars? Really?
And you know this how? Was it reported? He obviously wasn't a baseball player nor part of any club.
I'm Dutch, so these attempted 'insults' don't faze me.This is messed up. But then again it doesn't surprise me, what more can you expect from a Country which is the biggest supplier of weaponary, invades other countries, power trips and won't change its gun policy.
There still is a difference between 'belief' and 'established fact' (and it is up to police to establish those facts)Further to that her Father AND friends also believe it to be a hate crime, clearly I'm not the only one.
Clearly, you've not read up on what 'road rage' is. It starts with something traffic related, but then escalates and can culminate into murder. Vehicular assault is using your vehicle as a weapon against others, say a group of people walking along a road at night. If this person attempted to run down people, that is vehicular assault. It becomes vehicular homicide if someone is killed in the proces or as a result. This is irrespective of whether that person then proceeds to abduct someone and murder them elsewhere with a bat (clearly that's not vehicular assault, but I never said it was, didn't I?) I really fail to see what you are on about here. No one denied a murder took place. It's no longer a 'vehicle related' incident if you follow a person discreetly, kidnap them and kill them. There was space and room to think. This is clearly a deliberate attempt of murder and thought through.
How can I not. Your blend of stupidity is q....Miss me?
As the mom stated: it went ok last year. Her family should also explain why they were okay with their teenage daughter to be out on the streets at 4 am with a bunch of other teenagers in mixed gender company, picking fights with drivers by. Ramadhan does not suffice as reason enough, as not many families, regardless of religion, would be comfortable with such a situation.
And who knows more about the intentions of the Salvadorian guy, him or you? What agenda? Who knows more about my intentions me or you?
Sidetracking for lack of argument and proof.Proofs? Look at the amount of black people that get killed - shooting is the last resort of attack. Not first.

A poor and flawed argument backed by reputable newspapers remains poor and flawed.I've backed my views with reputable newspapers, so I'm not sure what exactly you're on about.
