Very difficult got English speakers and also people from the subcontinent unless you are one of the few in NE India that already speak a Sino-Tibetan language.

It is easier for someone from subcontinent to learn English than it is for them to learn Mandarin.

Chinese language is hierographic and composes of a few thousands(2000~4000) of basic characters which is quite different from phonetic languages such as indo-European languages. So the learning curve is steep at the beginning . and once people have mastered the basic 2000-3000 basic words(writing&pronunciation), it becomes quite easy all of sudden compared with English.
