Im planning to visit Teheran in near future, I heard so many fantastic stories about Iran, im curious to see it, the food there should be amazing :yahoo: and the people very friendly to western foreigners
Im searching already for cheap accomodations in Tehran, can anybody recommend some Hotel/Hostel/Motel?
If i try to book from western booking websites the hotels are not cheap at all (~ starting from 100€/night = 3698470 IRR/night), i can find lot cheaper hotels here in europe...
maybe better to book directly at hotel? so can be cheaper?
something near city center would be fine...
I also heard that people are renting rooms there (~20-30€/night - "couchsurfing"), but im more the hotel guy
i want to have the freedom to come and go when I want, privacy, and and and.....
I heard Shiraz/Isfahan are very beautiful,
im very happy about help and recommendations :-)
369k Toman per night for a hotel is not expensive in Iran. We Iranians pay at least 200k T per night for hotels in Mashhad, Kish. Even for a suite in shomal (Mazandaran province) we pay at least 100k T per night. It is very unlikely you find cheaper hotels in Tehran. I offer visit Iran with tours and you will need to spend at least for 800€. Btw if you want to stay in Iran at least for one month you can rent a small home.

Nice photos, must visit Iran.
It is ironical that most ppl from asian countries dont consider visiting each other when they have so many beautiful places but instead end up visiting western countries.
