A busy day on INS Vikky

OK correction, it seems INS Vikramaditya will carry 36 Aircraft's , i.e. 30 Mig 29K and 6 Helicopters.

Deck can hold upto 14, so I guess hanger can hold upto 16 Mig 29

Well 22-24 Mig-29Ks are more realistic figure. Though I agree that it can carry more but only at the cost of ease of operation.

When the Hindu sources says 30, what is your source that claims 22-24 ?

Ships are build for war, not ease of operation. As a matter of fact they have to train for maximum load and maximum efficiently so that during war, it become that much more easier to work with a full load.

Its foolish to practice with "easy" load. What is the point of that ? to make life "easy" for the semen ? ........ the point is to make them proficient in war not a paid holiday.

1. Every fighter needs hours of maintenance after every flight.
2. Once hanger is full till neck, fighters/helis can only be bought on deck one by one starting from those who are next to lifts.
3. and if you fill those places by 'to be maintained' aircrafts, rest aircrafts can't be brought to deck as it will kinda create dead lock unless you adjust aircrafts inside hanger which wont be possible if hanger is full.
This is why I talked about ease of operation.

Hanger would have space allocated for Maintenance. That is a given. Full load includes space for maintenance. In any case a certain percentage of aircrafts are always in the air once the carrier is deployed. That is additional space.
