45 on order right now, perhaps another 15 may be ordered but that's all, the IN will require a new fighter for their larger CATOBAR carriers. As for comparisons with the Blk.52, yes they are as capable as that machine if not more so in many respects.

I've seen this documentary before but just picked up on what they said about the MiG-29K's first deck landing, the test pilot who did it wasn't even carrier qualified! That was his first ever carrier landing! This is just nuts. Some would applaud this but I just find it absurd and indicative of the lackadaisical attitude the Russians display in contrast to international safety norms. If something had gone wrong then what?

That was beautiful and very Informative.

If you see closely you can observe that there are 12 Migh 29K parked on the Deck of Vikramaditya. 5 in the front and 7 in the back.

We already know that 12 Mig 29K can be parked in the Hanger.

This means Viki is going to sea with at least 24 Migh 29K ready to be deployed at any time

You add 5-6 Helicopters in the mix and we now know Viki has a standard load of 30 Aircrafts.

Deck can hold upto 14, so I guess hanger can hold upto 16 Mig 29
