A 5th generation jet fighter to be operational by 2025

By what I have read

The specification of PAKDA which is going around is not very convincing for a long range Bomber

I mean
Payload - 20000 lb
Range - 6000 NM
Hardpoints - 8 internal + 6 External
Topspeed - 1.6 Mach , 0.95 Mach cruise speed
Max Altitude - 70000 ft
RCS - O.5 sqm with Internal payload
Ability to carry 3 ALCM of 1000 mile range

Infact barring the Range which is Double that of PAKFa , rest of its ability is only about 25% better than PAkfa except that PAkfa will only carry one ALCM internally while PAKDA will carry 3

As far as India is concerned , well My personal opinion is that we should acquire 8 of these to replace our Tu-142 , when they retire in 2026-30
This is becoz despite ordering 12 P8I with plans to order another 12 after the delivery of Initial batch in 2013-15,
Indian Navy is carrying out MLU of Tu-142 so as to enable them to carry Air launched Brahmos , and extend there service life from 2018 to 2026
Hence it proves that Indian Navy greatly values the Tu-142's 12000 KM range and 9000 kg payload carrying ability , and since USA wont allow us to mount Air Launched Brahmos and Nirbhay on the 24 odd P8I though it may agree on less capable Storm shadow Cruise Missiles
so we should accquire 8-12 of them for long range strike and Anti ship operations in South china sea and western Pacific

Tu-142 and P-8I are maritime reconnaisance and anti submarine warfare aircrafts. PAK-DA is a strategic bomber, like B-52, B-2, Tu-160 etc. Completely different things.

Tu-142 is the Maritime strike version of Tu-95
in the same way as Tu-22M was a maritime version of Tu-22

We dont need PAKDa for maritime patrol and anti sub operations coz we will have 24 odd P8I for that
We need it for its 9500 km range and its ability to carry 3 Nirbhay cruise Missiles and fire them from South china sea

Because their F119 equivalent class engine is still nowhere near to be ready.

And that so-called 117 engine is just an AL-31 engine on steroid.

Just stop, stop making claims up. The 117 uses FADEC, Ceramic turbines, it has different air flow channels, is lighter, and has a reduced heat signature. It's like saying that a Ferrari is a model T on steroids.

Who cares?

Russian still hasn't largely deployed the 4.5 gen fighter like Su-35, which its prototype was built back in the Soviet era. And it took 10 years to renovate a second hand small carrier.

You can just see how their today's efficiency goes so far.

Perhaps you should educate yourself about the SU-35 before making foolish claims, the SU-35S or BM has nothing to do with the original 'SU-35', which was perchased only in small numbers do to cost (and not efficiency). Furthermore the SU35BM program is new, the first prototype was introduced for testing in 2007 with cerial production models just now being delivered.
