Five security guards were killed when a US military convoy was targeted by the Taliban militants in Farah province, police said.
The guards have been working for a private security company were killed in a Taliban assault on the US military convoy in Delaram district, Farah police chief, Besmellah Khan told Wakht News Agency.
He added that the Taliban fighters also set in fire five oil tankers, while the outfit claims of firing 20 tankers.
Police added that the Taliban also sustained loses in a fire exchange with the US convoy guards.
Over 100 US oil tankers have been burnt in Taliban attacks since a month in the west provinces.
