What deal? the deal was only to train their soldiers.

PA should make new core commands specially in Balochistan province & they should also make new naval base in the province.

The Army needs more officers and the 4th Pakistan Battalion (QAO) will allow the intake to support the goals set for the envisaged force structure within the Army into the future.

What would be the 'give-off' here ? Cadets who wouldn't have otherwise made it into Kakul becoming Officers or is the difference between those who make it & those who miss out on it barely isn't that significant & the overall standard of the New Officer Cadre would not be compromised ?

It won't. Each year over 30,000 candidates apply for entry into the PMA of which only ~ 600 are selected. There is a lot of room for increased intake. The one asset that we have is human resources and it needs to be exploited specially when the need for more officers exists.

Why are they being deployed to KSA?? Does anyone know??

No deployment to SA, just the normal amount of advisers we have around the world, including Iran, Gulf Countries, and Officers training in NATO, Australia etc. Numbers no more than a few hundred personnel, not a new thing, been going on for decades.
