Clash between the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and the Taliban militants in Wardak province left three civilians dead, official said.
The Afghan and international forces launched an operation in search of a Taliban local commander in Chak district which resulted conflict with the outfit militants, Wardak governor spokesman Shahedullah Shahed told Wakht News Agency.
Two women and a man were killed during the fire exchange.
Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mojahed blamed the foreign forces for killing the civilians.
The foreign invaders also arrested a number of the locals in the charge of cooperation with the Taliban mojahedin, Mojahed said in a telephonic conversation with Wakht News Agency.
