LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore on Friday granted bail to three more accused in the Sri Lankan cricket team attack case.

The case was heard during an in-camera proceeding by the Judge of Anti-Terrorism Court Number 2, Tahir Pervez.

The three accused, Malik Abdul Rehman, Javed Anwar and Ubaidullah, had been arrested a year after the March 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore.

The prosecution failed to prove the involvement of the accused in the attack.

Earlier, Malik Ishaq had been released on bail from Kot Lakhpat jail by the Supreme Court Lahore registry. He is one of the founders of the dreaded terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and was a key suspect in the attack on the Sri Lankan team and 43 other cases in which 70 people have been killed.

He was granted bail by the apex court after the prosecution failed to prove his involvement in the case of attack on Sri Lankan cricket team.

Ishaq was acquitted in 34 out of 44 cases while in the remaining 10, including the attack on Sri Lankan cricket team, he had already been granted bail, official documents revealed, reports The Express Tribune.

The thing i hate most about this system, lack of stupid evidence, monas elahi is also being a bit let off because of lack of evidence, but everybody from the inside of the organization, the whole nation, and IMO, even the judges know that he is guilty, but because of lack of evidence, nothing ,

Same is the case with these three people, but here i cant blame the court, it is our stupid police that is unprofessional and could not find enough leads and evidence to acquit the three criminals.

ITS A CRUEL WORLD WE LIVE IN.

Weren't the attackers on video? Or they weren't attackers just suspected for helping out the attackers? In that case it makes sense, no proof = not guilty. It will be a lot more worse if we start jailing people without proof.
